Rhebok Restaurant is one of the many highlights of the Rhebokskloof Wine Estate – one of Paarl’s most aesthetically beautiful and paradisical wine farms. Rheboksloof Wine Estate spans over hectares of plush lawns, lakes and old trees, boasting a prestigious restaurant from which to admire the estate and vineyards.
Renowned for their award-winning wines, Rhebok Restaurant compliments these accolades with a boast-worthy a la carte menu. The breakfast and tea menu brims with gourmet offerings, from their Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese omelette with capers, through to Baked Flapjacks with bacon and golden maple syrup.
The lunch and dinner a la carte menu varies, depending on seasonal availability, but one can glean from past menus that the dishes are expertly prepared and luxurious. Sliced duck breast is served on a baby leaf salad with a sweet cherry and mandarin drizzle; butterflied Tiger prawns, marinated mussels and calamari are served with fresh rocket leaves and salad, and hand-crafted cheeses are served with cured meats and delectable pates for starters.
For mains, we are enthralled by the preparation of meat, such as the Biltong-rubbed grain-fed beef fillet, served with Syrah sauce and thick-cut farm chips. Succulent Karoo ostrich is served with polenta and creamed spinach, draped with fig and wine sauce. Finally, the smooth citrus crème brulee served with crunchy lemongrass biscotti found no competition in our minds, and is poised to end your meal at Rhebok Restaurant perfectly.
