Gansbaai is the unofficial home of shark cage diving in South Africa, thanks to the proliferation of magnificent great white sharks that skirt its coastline. Supreme Sharks is happy to welcome visitors from all around the world to experience the exhilaration and thrill of getting up close and personal with one of these beautiful predators, with only the cold, strong metal of the cage between them.
The Supreme Shark experience includes a warm breakfast on arrival, a wetsuit, towel and dry bag and a full safety briefing. This is followed by the boat trip, which takes approximately 20 minutes and showcases some of the loveliness of the Western Cape shores to perfection. Refreshments are served on the boat.
The sharks are curious, and love to approach the cage. However, the visibility of the water and the time that the sharks choose to spend there are completely unpredictable and out of the control of Supreme Sharks. You are able to see the sharks from the boat itself, as well as from inside the safety of the cage. This is an incredible experience that will stay in your heart and memory bank for a lifetime, as you get to share such a serene, personal encounter with one of nature’s most feared (and misunderstood) hunters.
Upon arriving back at the clubhouse, hot soup and bread will be served. In addition, a DVD set with your personal experience on it is made available for purchase.
Cape Town is just over two hours’ drive away from Gansbaai, making this seaside village accessible to city clickers and those enjoying their vacation in the Mother City.
