Slipway Waterfront Restaurant nestles at the edge of the wind free, tranquil waters of Saldanha Bay harbour is located only 90 minutes from Cape Town. Nestled in the Langebaan Lagoon it offers visitors a spectacular mix of experiences ranging from floral beauty to cultural history passing through culinary excellence.
Mouthwatering oysters and mussels, home-grown in the bay, are our specialty. The options for mussels are limitless - from mussel and bacon bites, mussels in wine, or sweet' n sour sauce ... you won't be disappointed! Or opt for fresh line fish, calamari (rings or steaks), pastas, plus the best steaks on the West Coast. And don't forget the Kiddies' Choice, or set your own menus (in advance) for group bookings.
Our private "Bill Henry" bar is fully licensed and is open 7 days a week, including Friday and Saturday evenings during the summer months.
The Slipway's very own Yacht, Sailtrader (plus a water taxi), stand at the ready to transport you around the harbour or out to sea, at your leisure. Besides being the sub-continent's deepest and most natural harbour, Saldanha Bay is also home the richest mussel farms (and oyster beds) anywhere on the South African coastline and are highly recommended by the Slipway.
