Petrus van der Merwe first settled on Rhebokskloof farm in 1797, when visiting the farm you can still see his initials on the distinctive Cape Dutch gable. When a South African business group bought it, they restored it beautifully and its magnificent surroundings compliment its top quality wines. Its flagship win is the Black Marble Hill Syrah 2006.
What an experience to sit beside the lake beneath the willow trees and look out over the rolling lawns with your glass of wine. This farm along the Paarl wine route produces olives and table grapes and also hosts many live concerts and shows on an outdoor stage beside a dam or in the Cape Dutch building when it’s cold.
Rhebokskloof is one of those farm that have it all for the entire family; wine tastings, food and wine pairings, quad-biking, horse-riding and picnicking which are available for order from the Rhebok restaurant or you can bring your own. Choose between an informal, formal, gourmet and sunset wine tastings in a cosy room or one of the grand tasting venues.
