Pascalís, named after well-known French cabaret singer Daniele Pascal, was started as a labour of love by Daniele and her friend, Leonie Verster in 2002. Originally intended as a weekend restaurant, where Daniele could entertain and Leonie could express her passion for cooking, Pascalís became so popular that it became Napierís first restaurant that operated full-time.
By 2010, city dwellers Mark Kerr and Stephen Nicholenas, escaped the frenetic pace of the city, seeking the laid-back country life, and escaped to Napier. Mark and Stephen took over Pascalís and have introduced French, Italian and local country food to the menu.
The menu at Pascalís is inspired by nature and organic produce, taking its cue from the seasons. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the menu offers local favourites through to scrumptious daily specials.
During summer, al fresco dining is offered on the garden terrace, and winters are made cosy with log fires and gourmet comfort food. The Sunday lunches at Pascalís seem like a reason to drive through to Napier! With two courses for only R79, itís well worth it. Expect roast leg of lamb, roast potatoes, rice, gravy, veg, sweet potatoes for lunch and a delectable dessert to finish off.
A multi-purpose venue, Pascalís are equipped to host small conferences, private dining and functions for up to 25. Catch up with your sport viewing in the chill out area, with its huge fireplace and big screen TV.
