Ons Huise celebrates West Coast ‘kos’, which is strongly influenced by Afrikaans culture, and ingredients that are found in the environment, such as seafood, shellfish and wild herbs. The menu reflects the beauty, simplicity and creativity of the West Coast and the people themselves.
The menu is comprised of traditional dishes , such as the Boy Boonzaier Fishcakes or the creamy Strandloper’s Mussel Pot, which is followed by a traditional main course such as the Oven Baked Snoek with apricot & butter sauce, or the ostrich bobotie. The dessert menu remains traditional, with Cape Bread Pudding or Souskluitjies with a dollop of cream. Ons Huisie also specializes in Fish braais and spit braais, so call ahead and find out when you can be part of a West Coast-style feast. Remember to book ahead, as Ons Huisie is popular.
