About Nwanedi Wine

The Nwanedi Wine and Country Manor is set in the beautiful Berg River valley with stunning views of the Drakenstein mountains and was established by owners Gavin and Jean Stork in 1996 when they went in search of property to retire and build a model steam railway.

In 2005 Nwanedi celebrated their first vintage and produced wine free of additives in keeping with the organic development of the natural wine process. With the owners being eco-conscious the estate was developed with emphasis on sustaining the fertile natural surroundings. The Nwanedi Country Manor and Baobab restaurant is situated in the heart of the vineyards surrounded by magnificent views of the mountains and overlooking the vines. You can make a weekend of it and stay in one of the Manor’s 12 luxury suites and thoroughly savor the wine tasting experience.

Enjoy dining in the stylish restaurant or on the terrace secluded by vineyards where the dishes are made from organic seasonal produce and herbs and spices harvested from the estate’s orchards and gardens. If you would prefer to picnic on the Manor lawns, you can order a picnic basket packed with sumptuous and tasty foods instead.

You can take a tour of the estate and experience everything from the vine to the wine or arrange a tour of the many wineries along the Paarl wine route. Food pairing is also available with a choice of delicious dishes to compliment the estate’s wines.
