About My Wyn Boutique Winery

The lower slopes of the DuToitskop Mountains overlooking the Franschhoek Valley, is where you’ll find the woman behind My Wyn, Franschhoek’s smallest wine cellar. Once she made her first wine, a Shiraz, in 2001, Jacoline Haasbroek has managed her cellar and wine-tasting mostly by herself with assistance from her husband and gardener.

You’ll recognise the label by the nude female figure on the label representing the bottle’s contents; authentic just as Mother Nature created her. My Wyn does not have its own vineyards, but everything you’ll taste has been personally selected and made by this passionate woman herself. All the grapes are sourced from local producers each year and bring a new meaning to the term ‘hand-made wines’. All of the My Wyn is unfiltered and labelled by hand. 5000 bottles are produced annually and no more than three barrels of any cultivar is made.

If you visit at harvest time, you’ll get a chance to punch the fermenting grapes down, have a go with the wine press and sample fresh wine as its being made. This is the place to enjoy intimate wine tastings presented personally by Jacoline and depending on the weather could be outside or amongst the barrels in her cellar.
