Loverswalk in Montagu is a short trail that showcases this part of the beautiful Western Cape. It is a 500 metres walk, also known as Mayor’s Walk, and takes one along the Keisie River banks. It is nestled below Kanonkop, providing spectacular views through Joubertpark.
Loverswalk starts at the upper end of Barry Street, and forms part of the Badskloof Trail.
Those who love the fauna and flora of South Africa and, particularly, the Western Cape Province, will no doubt enjoy being immersed in its natural abundance. No entry fee or permit is required for this particular trail. However, other parts of the reserve do require a permit, which can be obtained from the entry of the reserve (Joubertpark) or at the hot springs.
