About L'Olivier Wine and Olive Estate

Just 45 minutes away from the bustling city of Cape Town, will have you feeling as if you’ve been flung far in the countryside. You’ll see olives groves, well-kept vineyards, green lawns and not many other sounds beside the birds.

NonPareil means “Having no equal” and you’ll fully grasp this meaning when tasting the L’Olivier NonPareil range of wines. Unparrelled in taste and quality, the Sauvignon Blanc grapes are grown with a high canopy and long shoots for protection against the sun. Slow ripening is allowed to happen due to the sea breezes. The 2008 Non Pareil Sauvignon Blanc won the Michelangelo double gold international wine award and also veritas silver.

The winemaker is Michel Dobrovic from Muldersbosch. The wine with softest tannins is the Cabernet Sauvignon: the 2007 vintage has fruity tastes of black currant and wildberry which lingers on the palate. You can drink it immediately or stack it away to age for 10 years for a premiere experience.

Other than wine, the estate produces its own biltong range and bottles Non Pareil olive oil (a process which you can watch when visiting).
