Langebaan beach offers the opportunity for numerous water sports and on the weekend you’ll see locals and holiday makers lining up with their boats at the jetty and slipway to launch them. Enjoy jet skiing or being pulled behind a boat on a tube – you’ll see plenty of families and youngsters having a ball in the water. If you find yourself out there make sure you don’t get stuck in a sand bank in one of the shallow areas, but bring along your prawn pump because you can anchor your boat and hop into the shallow water, wade a few metres and get to the sand bank where you can pump for prawns, or bait. So go and watch the more experienced fishermen doing just this.
