Named after the hill on which it perches, Kranskop Wine Estate respectfully adheres to methods that promote the care for and conservation of the environment. The wines produced here are, therefore, “green”, not leaving a harmful imprint on the stunning surrounds in which they were grown and nurtured.
Kranskop is situated along the famous R62, an alternative route to the Garden Route. The R62 winds through the Klein Karoo and promises very different, but equally spectacular views, fauna and flora. The serenity of the Karoo and the beauty of the landscape surrounding Kranskop are sure to immerse visitors in a world of tranquillity.
Although the farm dates back to the late 18th-century, the first year of production was only in 2001. The current owner, Newald Marais, has owned and run the farm since 2009.
Being surrounded by idyllic mountains and vistas, there are ample hiking, cycling and walking opportunities around the Kranskop Wine Estate. Alternatively, guests are invited to drink in the views as they sip on one of the excellent wines.
