‘Kleine Zalze wines are marked by classical structure and complexity matched by a vibrant flavour intensity.’ The key factors in creating our character full wines are the vineyards, the cellar and the people.
We aim to produce the best grapes and pay close attention to the direction of the vine planting, the height of the vines above the ground as well as the density and shape of the leafy canopies, all these factors play an important role in ensuring quality grapes are brought to the cellars.
The dedicated winemaking team are experience, adventurous and strive to explore new taste boundaries. Johan Joubert has previously won the International Wine & Spirit Competition’s Robert Mondavi Winemaker of the Year trophy, which is one of the most recognised in the wine making business.
Kleine Zalza lies in Stellenbosch, one of the most popular wine routes in South Africa. Set in a stunning location with plenty to see and do as well as a great selection of wines to suit a variety of palates, this is certainly a spot you are going to want to visit.
And if you need a place to rest your head for the night Kleine Zalze Lodge is the perfect stopover.
