Scenic Views over Kleine Draken Wine Estate

Kleine Draken can be found on the South Eastern foothills of the Paarl Mountain is the only estate in South Africa dedicated to producing all Kosher wines and juices and Kosher for Passover. They were once certified by Cape Beth Din. The farm is steeped in history, dating back 300 years and in order to ensure this history remains a part of the estate, it has been restored to its former glory. The estate is owned by Cape Gate Limited and the wine is skilfully produced by winemaker, Jean van Rooyen and Viticulturist Frank Pietersen.

You can enjoy a cheese and wine tasting which includes 5 Kleine Draken wines with 5 of Fairview’s kosher cheese or order a picnic after 11h00. The Kiddies picnic hamper has an array of tasty treats such a fried fish balls and millionaire shortbread whilst the adults picnic delights with food such as spinach and feta quiche, smoked salmon trout and friend fish strips.

Red and white cultivars are grown on the farm and some offerings include the Kleine Draken Semi Sweet Rose 2010, Klein Draken Natural Sweet White 2010, Kleine Draken Kiddush NV and Kleine Draken VinDoux Sweet Sparkling NV.
