About Kingsriver Estate
Kingsriver Estate boasts a joint ownership of 5 000 hectares for their esteemed guests to enjoy. Of the 350 hectares that make up the wine farm, about 36 are under vine. The soils and climate of the Robertson area mean a unique variety and top quality when it comes to the wines produced here. Kingsriver Estate is acclaimed for their Ruby Cabernet, Chenin Blanc, Colombar and Chardonnay.
This estate does not only grow grapes, though. It also produces excellent apricots, a variety of herbs, and Lucerne. Being situated so near to the small town of McGregor means that visitors of Kingsriver are able to explore this historical retreat and to enjoy its old-world, 19th century charm.
On the farm, visitors are able to swim in the dam (very inviting in the hot South African summers) and enjoy a picnic with family and friends. There are a number of hiking trails, including the Kleinberg Trail and the Kingsriver Kloof Trail. The array of plants and animals in this part of the country is sure to impress and delight the senses.
