About Jacks Restaurant & Coffee Shop

Betty’s Bay sits snugly at the foot of the Kogelberg Mountain Range, less than 100 kilometres from Cape Town, in the Western Cape. This little seaside town is a popular spot for international tourists, as well as for local travellers looking for a respite from city life. The blue of the ocean meets the greenery of the mountains, which are laden with a variety of flora, including the exquisite and endemic fynbos. It is within these idyllic surrounds that Jack’s Restaurant and Coffee Shop is situated.

Jack’s is perfectly situated to allow diners views of both the mountains and the sea as they enjoy a delicious cup of hot coffee, an ice-cold cold drink, or a glass of local wine or beer. The menu has plenty on offer and caters to just about anyone’s unique preferences. The daytime menu includes a range of breakfast options, as well as croissants with a variety of fillings, toasted submarines made from half a French bread stick, homemade soup, lamb burger, handmade pies and fillet of angelfish. The evening menu is similar but has some heartier additions, such as umngqusho (a Xhosa chicken casserole), pork fillet stroganoff, and handmade pasta. The desserts are decadent and delicious – a must-try for diners with a penchant for the sweet side of life.

The fully-stocked bar has beers, wines, spirits and coolers to complement any meal, and makes for a fantastic place in which to relax and enjoy the views. There is an outside terrace that faces the ocean, which is a lovely option for those wanting to enjoy their meals and drinks while soaking up the fresh air and sunshine. Alternatively, the indoor dining area boasts floor-to-ceiling windows to make the most of the views.

There is Wi-Fi throughout Jack’s for visitors needing to check their emails or make contact with those back home.
