Located jut over the road from Cape Point Nature Reserve, the fynbos experience at Good Hope Nursery includes an indigenous retail nursery, an outdoor tea garden, a playground for children and fynbos walks.
Good Hope Nursery is now also offering pre-booked guided fynbos walks. There is an easy walk or a moderate walk available along the fynbos mountain side, with breathtaking vistas of the Plateau Rd valley and the Atlantic Ocean. Included are interesting fynbos facts for young and old as well as a fynbos picnic snack stop. If you prefer to just meander around by yourself, the walk is accessible to visitors of the nursery in opening hours - just grab a map from the retail office and off you go exploring the indigenous mountainside! Dogs on leads are welcome and the nursery has a playground for kids and a lovely outdoor tea garden.
Good Hope Nursery have over 1000 indigenous species on their data base, ranging from local fynbos to sub tropical trees, and the majority of these are grown at the nursery under harsh Cape Point weather conditions which ensures that they are resilient enough to grow in any garden.
