About DV Artisan Chocolate

DV Artisan Chocolate is crafted by the De Villiers family in Hermanus along the Cape Overberg and is one of the world’s few ‘Bean to Bar’ micro batch chocolate makers.

The meticulous attention to detail at every step of the process, from the roasting of the beans right through to the moulding of the bars provides a finished product with its own distinctive flavour profile. Cacao beans were sourced from different origins around the world in order to determine which beans would be selected for the flagship range of 5 origin bars.

The tasting of DV Artisan Chocolate is offered at Newton Johnson Wines in Hermanus where you can also purchase a tasting pack containing the full range of five origin bars in 15g format, along with the DV Flavour Wheel, tasting notes and appreciation guide.
