The museum was founded in 1978 by the Darling Women’s Agricultural Association as a Butter Museum and one section of the museum now houses a collection of artefacts illustrating the beginnings of the butter making industry of Darling.
The museum moved to its present old Town Hall home in 1989 and recreates life of a bygone era with its displays of Victorian clothing, china and furniture. The Agricultural Hall shows the history of farming. If you are in the town make some time to visit the museum.
