About Ceres Transport Riders Museum
The Ceres Togryers Museum or Transport Riders Museum represents the cultural and historical heritage of Ceres. On display are a number of items including documents, cultural objects, natural objects, research and much more giving you an insight into the history of the area.
Discover how the transport riders of the 1800’s struggled with their ox wagons over the huge mountains and tricky passes to reach Ceres, a town famous for its fruit growing. Feast your eyes on the wagons and transport used in those times and the difficulties they faced.
The museum is proactive when it comes to education and conservation and encourages the local community to get involved in museum projects. There is such a large and very rich diverse history here and an incredible amount to learn about Ceres and those who came to visit.
