About Bosman Family Vineyard
Situated near Wellington, one of the truly magnificent winemaking locations of the world, and tucked up against the slopes of the protective Groenberg are the Bosman Family Vineyards.
The picturesque farm, lying in the shadow of the Limiet Mountain Range, has been nurtured by no less than eight passion filled wine-loving generations. It is this level of commitment and desire that has seen the farm flourish over the last two hundred years.
The Bosman Family Vineyards holds firm to their philosophy of minimal intervention and allowing the quality of the meticulously sorted and handpicked grapes to speak for itself. Balance and elegance are the pillars upon which the wine is made. The wines, which are described as flavour filled with soft tannins, show off the elegance of both the old worlds and new.
Lying in the shadow of the Limiet and on the slopes of the Groenberg means the vineyards are exposed to less direct radiation, a unique climate is created due to the early summer south-easterly winds which help the soil dry and in turn produce smaller berries. The late summer south-westerly bring cooler afternoons and evenings resulting in a far gentler ripening.
