Dine at Benguela Restaurant in Gansbaai

Benguela is a fine dining restaurant located in the small fishing village of Gansbaai. Receiving rave reviews from tourists and locals, Benguela shines in its position as a fine eatery in the Overberg region. The menu offers mouthwatering delicacies and gourmet food pairing. Every meal is plated beautifully, with an air of sophistication.

Benguela’s speciality seems to be their fresh fish dishes and their fillet, which is rumoured to be intoxicatingly delicious with Camembert and fig. The menu also includes local favourites, with an international spin, such as the Thai fish cakes on cucumber spaghetti for starters or the calamari mains.

Desserts have received rave reviews, so it’s probably best to leave space for them! The raspberry crumble, cheesecake and mousse have left diners in a ‘state of nirvana’ according to real restaurant reviews. Host, chef and owner, Jonathan, seems to have created a winning combination at Benguela.
