Luxury meets the ultimate in poolside relaxation at the exclusive Batstone Pool. This rooftop pool is situated on top of the opulent Cape Quarter Shopping Centre, which is conveniently situated in the beautiful, vibrant suburb of De Waterkant in Cape Town’s City Bowl.
This tranquil swimming pool provides an idyllic space for revitalising and relaxing minds and bodies. The views of the City Bowl, Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, Signal Hill and Devil’s Peak are breath-taking, and the look and feel of the pool nothing less than special. Comfy sun loungers can be reserved so that you are assured of the best possible position while you soak up the warmth of the sun, listen to the bustling city below, and sample some gourmet dishes off the comprehensive menu.
The swimming pool is small; perfect for a quick dip, or a splash with friends before heading back to the café and bar. For those with books to read or emails to send, this is an office with a difference. Simply bring your iPad along and reply to emails, send quotes or formulate reports from the comfort and luxury of the lounger or café. Great coffee is par for the course at Batstone, which only fuels the creative process.
Batstone Pool is open from Friday to Sunday, from 11h00 to sunset. However, it can be reserved and opened for private functions or special celebrations at any time of the day and week by prior arrangement.
The Cape Quarter Shopping Centre below the pool has been hailed as one of the most stylish malls in the province, and offers dedicated shopaholics plenty of variety and quality. Other nearby attractions include Miller’s Thumb restaurant in Kloofnek Street, the Lindt Chocolate Studio, the Toro Wine Bar, all of the vibrant delights of Long Street, and the ever-esteemed Victoria & Alfred Waterfront.
