Are you feeling energetic, enthusiastic and up for an exciting challenge? Then why not join the Olifants River Backpack Trail.
The trail is 42 kilometres long and will last roughly four days and three nights. Starting every Sunday and Wednesday between April and October, this Kruger National Park Trail is not one to be missed and certainly not one for the faint hearted.
You will be carrying all your own gear, so pack smartly and ensure your bag is no more than a quarter of your body weight. A gear check will commence prior to the beginning of the trail, where guides will assist you with packing your bag in such a way that it will feel comfortable and not as heavy.
After you have set off you will be in the middle of nowhere, there are no camping facilities and you will be pitching a tent wherever you are after a day of hard work, while admiring the stunning scenery and wonderful wildlife of course. You are bound to learn a lot during this outdoor experience and it will probably leave you wanting more. A minimum of eight persons per trail is required.
