Fly Fishing at Machado Flyfishing Club

Glenshee offers prime Flyfishing in the Mpumalanga area of South Africa. Glenshee is situated 6km from Machadodorp on the Carolina Road.

The club has 2 dams which are stocked weekly with trout, the nearby river is also stocked for special "River Bash" competitions. Machado Flyfishing club owns it's own hatchery and produces rainbow and golden trout. Large-Mouth Bass and Tilapia also occur naturally in the dams. Another dam, nearby offers Bass Fishing, and is best fished in a float tube, kick-boat or bass-boat. Idyllic views set the scene for a complete Flyfishing get-away.

Rustic Camping Facilities ae available. (See Machado Flyfishing Club). A well-grassed caravaning and camping area is available with water and electrictiy points. Hot-water showers are also available in the ablution block. Bar facilities and lounge area in the Club-House along with basic Fly-fishing tackle for sale in the shop.
