After a wonderful visit to the uShaka Marine World in Durban discovering a host of marine life why not head down to the uShaka Beach just a short distance away and see some of what you learnt at in its natural environment?
Durbans uShaka Beach is a well known family beach attracting both locals and tourists to its sandy shores. From the beach you can spot dolphins riding the waves and if you are lucky between June and December you will be able to spot whales basking in the waters.
This family friendly beach is a fantastic spot for beginner surfers and is popular for kayaking and kitesurfing.
Situated next to uShaka Marine World, with many beach activites going on in summer, this beach truly is extra special and offers so much more than others. If you are not too keen on getting sandy then why not stretch out on the grassy bank above the beach where you can still enjoy the same beach experience and admire the outstanding views.
This beach is also a great surfing spot so don’t forget your board. This beach is an especially good option if you’re a beginner to the waves and want to get some experience in the sea without plenty of crowds. For everyone else you can enjoy catching a few rays of sun or grabbing a bite to eat at one of the local Durban Restaurants and take-away joints.
