The Litchi Orchard Market is located on Seaforth Avenue in the KwaZulu Natal coastal town of Umhlali and takes place on the first and third Saturday of each month between 8am and 1pm. Currently boasting 30 stallholders with products ranging from artisan breads, organic vegetables, homemade curries and Indian specialities to pancakes, dresses, nuts, preserves, German baked goods and the market favourite, a breakfast stall, the Litchi Market is obviously worth a visit on a Saturday morning.

The focus of the market is on food products that are local, farm-fresh, seasonal and sustainable. The opportunity to buy straight from the farmer means you are cutting down on your carbon footprint.

The market area is set up in the beautiful old litchi orchard - what a unique setting to spend time chatting to stallholders and sampling the variety of produce for sale. Tables and chairs are set out throughout the market and in the orchard itself so come prepared for a picnic brunch or lunch with friends and family and of course you can buy your eats and treats straight from the market itself!
