Locals can often be found swimming, enjoying a Surfer Special sandwich from the kiosk, strolling along the beach or watching the sun go down. Lifeguards are on duty throughout summer. The natural tidal pool is fabulous for snorkelling and exploring the many marine creatures that have made it their home, including the fish that often approach snorkelers inquisitively. This will delight young and old alike.
Every year, during the winter months, this beach lures thousands of people, who want to watch the Sardine Run. As one of the largest migrations on the planet, millions of silver sardines are seen swimming along the coast, followed closely by predators.
