Ghazal is an upmarket restaurant based in the Northern suburbs, specialising in Indian cuisine. With a dedicated following, Ghazal has long been established as a favourite curry house and continues to create dishes bursting with tang, heat and flavour, from fragrant curries through to tender lamb dishes.
Itís advisable to order various dishes for your table, providing the opportunity to sample a stunning range of flavours, textures and spices. The Tandoori Prawn dish consists of 2 giant black tiger prawns, marinated in Indian spices; Kingklip is marinated in yoghurt and spices and roasted in a clay oven for the Fish Tikka; Lamb Ghost Badami is a dish of tender lamb made in a slightly sweet almond and cream sauce, while the ever-popular Lamb Rogan Josh is a rich lamb curry on the bone.
Vegetarians are catered for with a feast of delectable dishes, ranging from simple Dal, to Bombay Potato; Chana Masala or Paneer Makhnie (Indian cottage cheese with a tomato gravy). The perfect Indian meal always includes Naan and a selection of sambal, with a few poppadums stacked up alongside. The seafood curries and dishes are simply out-of-this-world, with dishes such as Prawn Korma, Prawn Masala and Fish Biryani. Remember to catch their Sunday lunch buffet, where diners are presented with a table of delights, providing the opportunity to sample many different dishes at one time.
