Well known restaurateurs, Luciana Righi and Mario Guerini, bring together their wealth of experience, understanding of good food and Italian heritage in this popular, upmarket Italian restaurant. Celebrating Northern Italian cuisine, the menu includes favourites from the Emelia-Romagna region such as Ragu and Cappelletti in brodo di Vitello. With over 30 years experience in the restaurant trade, Luciana has included her customers favourite dishes through the years, between many other inspiring Italian dishes.
Starters are a feast all on their own, with dishes you’ll savour long after you leave. Pasta takes centre stage on the mains menu, and after skimming through them, I somehow feel that my life will not be complete until I sample them all. Pasta is fresh, ingredients are bold and beautiful and the sauces are sublime. The Tagliolini al Salmone combines fresh salmon with a touch of tomato, and cream and leak sauce. The Raviolini di carne, burro fuso e, sees veal tossed in sage butter and wrapped in pasta, while their Gnocci is made with spinach and potato, and served with a gorgonzola sauce. Meat dishes, such as their Crumbed Veal Chops, are tender and simply melt off the bone.
Their Veal Escallops and oven-baked rack of lamb are surely a taste of heaven, and their rib eye steak is given the Amarcord touch, with a garlic, sage and rosemary marinade, and served with roast potato and zucchini chips. Their Dolci menu suggests desserts that are prepared, cooked and baked in a traditional fashion, bringing an exquisite experiences of the senses to a dulcet close.
