The starters include a Cape Malay fish cake on a puree of roast garlic and onion with gingered butternut foam, the roasted maple beets with a poached pearl onion on a cauliflower polenta tian with basil crème fraîche, or a chicken roulade on a wild field mushroom risotto.

The mains menu is a delight for gastronomic adventurers. Try the pan-seared springbok loin with waterblommetjies and a prune jus, the seared duck breast with truffle mush and a blackberry jus, the pan-seared exotic mushrooms with parmesan shavings and arrabiata spaghetti, a garlic and thyme lamb shank with a butternut cake and candied carrots, or the indulgent beef rib-eye with sweet potato mash and a kumquat and onion marmalade gremolata.
