Executive chef, Lizelle Stolze is crowned with numerous awards and qualifications. Apart from excellent local and international experience Lizelle is a dux Cum laude student of Prue Leith Academy of Food and Wine where she gained top honours as a student. Serendipity offers a five course South African inspired table d’hÔte menu.
Examples of the current d’hôte menu get our taste buds ready for taste sensations unlike any other. With starters such as caramelised onion tartlet, served with beef tongue and mustard dressing, on rocket and Melba Toast; or Cape Malay curried fish topped with salad & poppadom Crisp, avocado sambal – we realize that we’re about to be blown away. Mains ‘wow’ us, with superb dishes such as the duo of ostrich, served in its own jus, or the rack of lamb.
Desserts have lashings of class and imagination, such as the saffron-infused milk tart , served with fruit sosaties; or you could choose the warm dark chocolate mousse served with milk stout ice-cream and mock coffee sponge.
