Visit the Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary

The Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary is located in the Crags, 18km east of Plettenberg Bay. A one hour guided tour is available and this takes in an indigenous snake pit, a boomslang exhibit, a monitor lizard enclosure, a large dome housing South African and exotic snakes and a giant python room.

Also included in the tour is how to respond to an unexpected encounter with local snakes. The sanctuary is only open during the summer months as snakes hibernate during the winter.
