About White Sands
For a great dive, with decent depth and the chance of spotting a wide variety of marine life, get to White Sands, in Algoa Bay, Eastern Cape.
The reef is made up of wide stretches of sand with a number of widespread gullies running through it.
Many invertebrates inhabit the area along with a colourful selection of soft corals, sea fans, anemones and sponges. Rays are very common in the area and often you will be able to spot an Octopus or two as well.
The depth of the dive sight ranges from around 8 meters to between 18 and 24 meters at the maximum. Make sure you get an underwater camera in order to take some fantastic and memorable shots.
