About Ship Rock
Head out to the drop off at Ship Rock, North East of Shark Gulley in Algoa Bay, Port Elizabeth. The reef looks like the bow of a ship with the gullies creating a V-shape where they meet. You are able to reach depths of 10 to 16 meters at this reef at the drops and amongst the crevices.
An abundance of marine life graces these waters and you are bound to see many of them on your dive.
Regular fish hanging around the area are the Koesters, Red Fingers and Two-tone Finger Fins. Large amounts of Sea Fans, Corals and sponges cover the reef making this a very colourful dive. You must have diving qualifications and be accompanied by other qualified divers in order to dive here.
