In the green, leafy suburb of Colleen Glen, on Cow’s Corner, is the Elephant Walk Restaurant Village. This has become an institution, having been an old favourite in Port Elizabeth for decades. However, over the generations, it has grown from a country-style restaurant to something much bigger, something for the whole family to enjoy.
The menu has a distinctive French flair, and the hearty portions are reminiscent of the delicious traditions of yesteryear. The pub is well-stocked, and has televisions on which to watch the most current sports games or to while away the hours with an ice-cold beverage.
In addition to the indoor dining area, there is an ample garden with tables under the trees and a small play area for the little ones. Enjoy decadent cakes and coffee, or a meal with refreshments in the shaded outdoors, taking in the gorgeous greenery of the Eastern Cape.
The antique store will delight those who love old-world charm and is packed with valuable treasures and exciting finds. The farm shoppe is an awesome resource to explore; with everything from freshly baked breads and homemade preserves to organic eggs and vegetables, and imported treats. This shoppe is great for those who are invested in responsible purchasing, wanting to support industries that are as environmentally and socially uplifting as possible.
The Elephant Walk Restaurant Village hosts a boot sale once a month, and is the venue of choice for a number of music shows and even book signings.
