About Diving At Riy Banks
For the more experienced thrill seeking divers, Riy Banks is a popular choice among the diving community. It is best known for its deep drop offs and small valleys and passages in which to swim through.
Taking the shape of a horse shoe, the large reef area includes many dive sites and is home to colourful corals, a wide variety of game fish as well as sharks (some include raggies, rays, pyjama sharks and the usual expected fish life).
With its highest point at 30m, divers can descend up to 16m below the water’s surface, and are usually guaranteed good visibility due to the reef being offshore. 21km from the shoreline of Hobie Beach this dive site is a great spot for the adventurous diver and for fishing too.
