DESCRIPTION:

Leopard Lodge is an exclusive private game farm and conference, training and special function venue situated in the Magaliesberg Mountains in the North West Province of South Africa. Leopard Lodge is situated on a 248 hectare game farm near Kosmos in the Hartbeespoort Dam area. Just 55 km from Sandton and 60 km west of Pretoria.

At Leopard Lodge the main Lodge building, built high up the mountain slope under a huge thatch roof, consists of various conference and meeting rooms, a large lounge and restaurant, an African style bar, and a huge open veranda under thatch, with a view as far as the eye can see. A large typical African Boma where visitors can enjoy delicious meals cooked on open fires whilst sitting in the open around a glowing wood fire.

ACCOMMODATION


We have a total of 16 rooms available sleeping up to 32 people sharing or 16 singles. All rooms have bathrooms with showers and are tastefully decorated in an African theme.

Ingwe:
Wooden walkways take you to these 3 luxury airconditioned log cabin rooms built on stilts with wooden decks having a wonderfull view of the Hartbeespoort dam in the valley far below. They all have one queen size bed and one of them has a jacuzzi on the outside deck well suited for honeymoon guests.

Phumula Suite:
This luxury thatched roof suite has one queen size bed and a sunken lounge. It also has a jacuzzi and small boma out back. A front veranda overlooks the swimming pool situated in front of the Khaya rooms.

Motswedi:
A secluded and private two bedroom chalet sleeping a maximum of 4 people, situated on the plain below the Magaliesburg Mountains. Motswedi is a bird watchers paradise and offers nature walks and magnificent view of mountains. Animals often visit water hole in front of chalet and there are four breeding colonies of Cape Griffon Vultures.

Khaya:
A self contained thatched house, with seven double, en-suite rooms, communal lounge and breakfast bar. A private swimming pool and deck with beautiful views over the valley. Well suited to conference delegates or function guests staying over night. Khaya can also be used for a small private conferences.

Griffon:
Situated close to the main lodge building, these 3 rooms are luxury airconditioned rooms each with 2 three quarter size beds and en suite bathrooms with shower and wooden decks. Griffon rooms offer unsurpassed views of the valley and Magaliesberg Mountains.

GAME


Leopard Lodge is game fenced and roaming freely are wild animals such as Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Kudu, Blesbok, Impala, Bush Buck and Jackals. Leopards are known to live in the mountains but are rarely seen. There is an abundance of birdlife which makes Leopard Lodge a birdwatchers paradise. Approximately 600 Cape Griffon Vultures nest in four of the few remaining breeding colonies in the cliffs above the lodge.

ACTIVITIES


Nearby activities include a game of golf on one of four golf courses, Toast champagne in-flight on a hot air balloon safari, floating restaurant, Sun City, Van Gaalen Dutch Cheese Farm, Snake and Animal Park, Elephant Sanctuary, Cheetah Farm,Curio Stalls, Lesedi Cultural Village, many restaurants etc.

CONFERENCES & FUNCTIONS


Leopard Lodge is an ideal venue for team building, GPS training, product launches, seminars, conferences, weddings, Christmas functions, fire walking and any other function. We have all the necessary conference equipment available including an overhead projector, TV, VCR, DVD, Photocopying & Fax, Internet facilities.

FROM RANDBURG / SANDTON:
From Hans Strijdom Drive, follow the R512 past Lanseria Airport. At the farm stall T-Junction, turn left. Past Peacanwood, take the Brits/Sun City turning to the right. At the T-Junction, turn left (R560). Leopard Lodge is approximately 4km’s from the turning, on your right.

FROM PRETORIA (OLD N4 TOLL ROAD):
Follow the N4 Toll road to Rustenburg. Where the toll road ends, turn left at the top of the off-ramp. At the T-Junction turn right. Follow the road past Peacanwood, take the Brits/Sun City turning to the right. At the T-Junction, turn left (R560). Leopard Lodge is approximately 4km’s from the turning, on your right.

FROM PRETORIA / WONDERBOOM:
Follow N4 Platinum Highway in direction to Rustenburg, take the Brits/Hartebeespoort Dam of ramp, continue left to the first mayor right hand turn at the Sasol garage. Continue on this raod past a fourway stop, Leopard Lodge is approximately 8km on your right.
