At Jaci's Safari Lodge we invite you to share the wildness of South Africa in the exclusive luxury of our magnificent Lodges. Arrive by air after an easy 45 minute flight from Gauteng, or enjoy a scenic 3˝ drive on tarred roads to the entrance of the Reserve. We look forward to welcoming you to this 'must see' destination and promise you a superb bush experience enhanced by our personal service.

Jaci's Safari Lodge is situated at an ideal spot overlooking an established and well used water hole, under a grove of Tamboetie trees, on the edge of the Marico River. The main complex is different, open plan, curved around a huge anthill, under shady trees overlooking the water hole and on the banks of the Marico River.

Meals come from an ultra modern kitchen, spotless, in full view of the dining area. Dinners are eaten outside around the open fire in the boma under the stars, or out in the bush on a "braai", surrounded by nature. Upstairs there is a quiet reading space. There is also a well-stocked ethnic craft shop.

Between the early morning and evening game drives and walks, there is a cool swimming pool overlooking the river. Paddle your own canoe, lie in a hammock, sip an ice-cold drink, watch the birds, the butterflies and beasts, relax, unwind. The day, the place, the ambience are yours, in peace.

ACCOMMODATION

Jaci's Safari Lodge Eight thatched rooms, each with en suite bathroom and magnificent outside shower. Seven of the rooms have twin beds and the eighth room has a king size four poster bed. Each room has a hand made ceramic fireplace surrounded by a stone chimney. The deck in front of the room allows you to sit and enjoy the surrounding sights and smells of the bushveld - whilst watching the animals walking past to drink. The walls in the bathroom are built using natural rock and the bath was constructed on site. In order to create a "tented feel" the rooms have canvas sides. Children sharing with their parents are comfortably accommodated on camping stretchers in the rooms. Maximum 3 children per room.

Jaci's Tree Lodge:
Has 8 "Tree Houses", each encompassing a giant Tamboetie or Leadwood Tree. Each “Tree House” is constructed amongst the Riverine forest on stilts, up to 4 meters from the ground. In these spacious “Tree Houses” – built utilising a combination of rosewood, thatch and stacking doors - the forest surrounds are invited in, to compliment your stay with us. An open plan, en-suite bathroom with an enormous stone bath and outdoor “Jungle Shower” allow you to enjoy your forest surrounds. Relax, on the deck in front of your room, in the main lodge or wander to the forest pool to cool off. Raised wooden walkways link all the rooms to the main lodge.

Nare Suite:
This exciting addition to Jaci’s is an exclusive “bush retreat”- so named because of the resident Buffalo Bull who frequents the waterhole in front of the Suite (along with the numerous other animal visitors). The Nare Suite accommodates a maximum of 4 guests, is the latest addition to Jaci’s.

The Nare Suite bedrooms each have open plan bathrooms, with a hand made “rock” bath and outdoor “safari” shower. A wooden viewing deck overlooks a fabulous water hole and encompasses a private swimming pool. The lounge and outdoor dining area, overlook a wooden viewing deck and an active water hole encompassing a private swimming pool. WEDDINGS & HONEYMOONS

Jaci's provides outstanding venues, complete with a team of people to ensure your special day is hassle free. At Jaci's we assist you in planning the perfect day. We have catered for several weddings from 80 to 5 guests, each created around the individual needs of the wedding couple.

Our wedding package includes our usual daily activities and meals. The extra details (flowers, pastor, photographer, etc.) are privately arranged and we can assist once everything is at the lodge. Contact us directly for more details, information and inspiration. At Jaci's we can accommodate 36 adults (between Safari and Tree Lodge) which allows two different venues for the ceremony and for the reception.

CHILDREN

Children of all ages are welcome at Jaci's. Children aged 12 and under are comfortably accommodated in their parents' room on their own stretcher. Children aged 7 years and under are taken on their own Game Drive during the day by one of our rangers - this is a kiddies drive and is geared totally to the children's interests and age level. We provide an earlier evening meal at 18:00 for the "littlies" as we do not allow children in the boma for the evening meal. Baby sitters are provided to look after the "littlies" while the parents are on the Game Activities. Children aged 8 to 12 on the Game Drives with their parents are also given an earlier dinner in the dining room, when they return from the Game Drive. We find this works very well as children are hungry and tired by the time we serve and eat dinner. The Game Reserve does not allow children under the age of 12 to do walks inside the Reserve.
