Nyl Retreat is a private, self-catering country retreat, situated 9 km from Modimolle (Nylstroom). The town Modimolle is in the Waterberg region and is approximately 130 km north of Pretoria (+/- 1½ hours drive). Nyl Retreat is easily accessed by tar road and is situated in a malaria free and safe environment. ACCOMMODATIONNyl Retreat offers the guest a choice between the luxurious house, cottage or chalets. All the units are equipped with quality mattresses, fine white linen and towels. Tea, coffee, rusks, soap, shampoo and body lotion are standard items in each unit. The units are serviced daily except on Christmas Day and New Year. Self Catering Holiday House: The house sleeps a maximum of 8 people and consists of four bedrooms - two rooms have en-suite bathrooms and air conditioners. The lounge is also air conditioned and has DSTV facilities. The large farm kitchen is well equipped. The house has a private boma, a Weber and gas braai for breakfasts. Self Catering Cottage: The cottage sleeps a family of four and consists of a large open plan air conditioned sleeping area. The kitchen is fully equipped and has its own private braai area and a gas braai for breakfasts. The cottage has DSTV. The house and cottage share a large beautiful garden and a communal lapa and solar heated swimming pool. Secure under cover parking is provided. Self Catering Chalets: The 5 country-styled thatched chalets are situated in a large garden with beautiful trees. The chalets are cosy, uniquely decorated with wooden furniture. To maintain the rustic ambience none of the chalets have TV’s. Four of the chalets can accommodate two people per unit while the larger unit sleeps four. Each chalet has its own private braai and view. The chalets have a pool separate from the house and cottage. Secure parking is provided. ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONSAs the name suggests, the main purpose of Nyl Retreat is to provide an environment where body, mind and soul may be restored in the company of friends or family. The farm allows you to experience the bushveld where you can stroll freely to identify trees and birds. The African sunsets and warm climate allows you to enjoy outdoor life. For the bird lovers, we are situated 24 km from Nylsvlei Nature Reserve. For the children, there is exposure to farm animals such as cattle, goats, ducks, geese and poultry.
