DININGDining in true African style: At Monate the dining experience is designed to tantalise your taste buds – specialising from venison to vegetarian dishes - served in different settings, such as our unique natural cave, in the bush or around the lodge camp fire. CONFERENCESMonate offers a state-of-the-art Conference Centre situated close to the lodge where the discerning delegate can enjoy the tranquility of the bush whilst conducting business in a conductive atmosphere. The centre can accommodate all seating styles, to a maximum of 40 persons with breakaway rooms. This malaria free location and setting is ideal for team building, which can be customized to suit individual needs. WILDLIFEThe private game reserve is set in 1839 hectares of bush, open plains and a variety of interesting koppies. It is home to leopard, cheetah, buffalo, rhino, hippo, crocodile, zebra, as well as a large variety of antelope such as giraffe, eland, oryx, waterbuck, kudu, nyala and many more. Birdlife is prolific, being only 10 kilometres from the Nylsvlei reserve, which is home to 46% of Southern Africa’s bird species. ACTIVITIESMonate offers early morning and late afternoon game drives to view our magnificent game and birds. Our professional guides are available to assist in making your experience an interesting and enjoyable one. We are also part of a cheetah rehabilitation project with De Wildt. Extra activities include horse trails & clay pigeon shooting on request, or perhaps you would prefer to lounge around the pools, work out in the gym, enjoy a game of volley ball, jukskei or swingball, maybe even indulge in the jacuzzi.
