I am 24 years old and I live in Benoni. Well - i know my story might not excite everyone but whenever I go on holiday I always go to a small place called Aberdeen. Aberdeen is a small town in the Eastern Cape close to Graff Reniet.

I have travelled to alot of other places but I think I enjoy going to the Eastern Cape so much because there is no rush, no hassles and no stress in those areas. Actually, there everyone is care free.

Whenever I go there i actually think that I am so far from home I am in a new planet. I go there to appreciate life. When I look at that area there is absoultely nothing to do, there are not many shops, not much entertainment etc, but for me, going to that area actually allows me to be more appreciative of what we have around us. Although its hectic and different in Johannesburg in that area it is peaceful.

I have alot of time to think when I am there. There's no rush, everything works according to you and I am a much laid back and totally relax person. I visit all my family there. Both my grandparents are in there 90's and they are fit as ever. I think it is because there's less stress there compared to here in Gauteng. We are actually more stressed when I see that area compare to JHB.

I think of how previledge we are and how greatful we should be that we have everthing we need and yet take everthing for granted but i am glad that i can go to such a place to show me the simplicity of life and how to appreciate and enjoy what we have.
