One can hike through the rugged mountain terrain that provides an opportunity to observe a large variety of rare succulents as well as breathtaking views. Naries Namakwa Retreat is situated, 27km outside Springbok in Namakwaland in the Northern Cape, South Africa. Naries is tranquility - we offer a total getaway from the pressures of city life. Our warmhearted hospitality, delicious meals, diverse variety of comfortable accommodation and friendly staff will ensure that you thoroughly enjoy your stay and leave you with the desire to return once again! ACCOMMODATION: Dinner, Bed & Breakfast OptionsNamakwa Mountain Suites: Three thatched, dome-shaped suites, each luxuriously decorated and complete with an en-suite bathroom, a tea and coffee station and stocked bar fridge (to purchase from). Each suite also has its own wooden deck from where to take in our famous sunsets and breathtaking views. Dinner and breakfast are served at the Manor House. If you like privacy, make sure you reserve your Namakwa Mountain Suite in time! Manor House: Our historical Cape-Dutch Manor “Home” offers 5 classically styled en-suite rooms. Rates include breakfast and dinner in our Dining Room. Relax at the pool or in our lounge, explore the farm on one of our hiking trails or book a Namakwaland Exploring Tour (prior to arrival). Power House Economy Rooms: We have 2 en-suite economy rooms available for those who prefer a slightly more basic stay. Meals can be enjoyed in our Manor House Dining Room. ACCOMMODATION: Self Catering OptionFamily Self Catering Unit: This unit is fully furnished and has an en-suite bathroom (bath and shower), kitchenette and outside Braai area and can sleep up to 4 people. Our Family Self Catering Unit is very popular, so please book in advance! ACTIVITIES:We also offer numerous Hiking Trails! Bring your hiking shoes, sun-protection cream and cameras! This promises to be fun in the sun! The famous Namakwaland flower season, which is also our high season, starts early August and continues until the end of October. During this period a large variety of wild flowers can be viewed on Naries and the surrounding areas. Our vast variety of Succulents on the farm is also a very big attraction to many guests through-out the year! DIRECTIONS: FROM CAPE TOWN: Take the first turn-off into Springbok Travel ± 7km until you are in the centre of town Keep a look out for "Kentucky Fried Chicken" on your right Take the very next turn-off to your left and follow "Van der Stel Street" as it leaves town towards Kleinzee. Follow the gravel road and directional signs for about 27 km until you reach Naries Guest Farm. FROM THE NAMIBIAN SIDE: Take the second turn-off into Springbok Carry on on the N7 until you have passed the town of Springbok on your right Turn right at the stop-sign at the end of the off-ramp and carry on until you get to a T-junction (Voortrekker Street). Turn left and travel towards the centre of town, some 1 km away Look out for the police station on your left. Your turn-off is the very next one to your right. (See Kleinzee Sign) Travel due west on "Van der Stel Street"; it will take you all the way to Naries, 27 km away. FROM THE N14; FROM UPINGTON: The N14 will take you right into the centre of town Look out for the police station on the left. Your turn-off is the very next to your right, "Van der Stel Street" (Road to Kleinzee). Travel due west on this road; it will take you all the way to Naries, 27 km away.
