It was a place where the most wicked of outlaws like the infamous Scotty Smith (aka George St Leger Lennox), who busied himself with daring highway robberies, horse thievery and illegal diamond trading, could escape the long arm of the law. Today, almost 100 years later, thousands of visitors from all over the world still seek refuge in Upington. Although no longer running from the law, people now come to Upington to escape the pressures of modern living and to absorb the unique sites and sounds that are the Kalahari. ACCOMMODATION

Greenfield Gardens offers guests a choice of 7 rooms. Self catering and family units (interleading doors) are available. For larger groups a fully serviced self catering 3 bed roomed home is at our guests’ disposal. All rooms are en-suite, tastefully decorated, air conditioned and fitted with mini bar fridges. The self catering units include microwaves and essential cutlery. DSTV channels are available in all rooms.
