DESCRIPTION:

Lalandi 8 Beachfront Cottage is the perfect beachfront get-away. Drift off to sleep and awake to the sound of the waves and spend hours with the therapeutic view from the deck, looking out for passing schools of dolphins or the occasional whale.

Why take a holiday at the beach, if you can’t see the Sea?

This self-catering beachfront cottage is let on a daily basis. Located on the beach at Langstrand (Long Beach), approximately 15km from both Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, provides panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Langstrand holiday resort is 2 minutes walk away, with its popular tidal pool, oyster bar, excellent restaurant, snack kiosk and children’s playground. The dunes of the Namib and quad biking rentals are nearby. You can relax or tan on the deck, go for endless walks on the beach or collect mussels off the rocks for dinner. Popular surf fishing spots such as “paaltjies” and “vierkantklip” and sites for crayfishing (in season) are nearby. Both activities require a fishing license, available from the Department of Sea Fisheries in Swakopmund.

ACCOMMODATION:

The cottage has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, all en-suite, and comfortably accommodates 4-6 persons. The dining area has an indoor braai (barbecue) for cooking or keeping you cosy on misty nights. The single garage also has a freezer for use to store any fish caught. The kitchen/lounge/dining area is open-plan with views of the ocean, as do two of the bedrooms.

The loft bedroom and second bedrooms have double beds, while the third bedroom has bunk beds. The loft bedroom has a beach cottage theme with open plan lounge and bathroom, while the downstairs rooms are decorated with a warm ethnic touch.

The unit is fully furnished complete with dish-washing machine, washing machine and tumble drier to ensure a restful break. The kitchen has a breakfast counter and is provided with everything from electric hob and oven, microwave and all appliances. All deck furniture including loungers, table, chairs and umbrellas is provided.

All bedding linen and towels are supplied with spare sets and these are washed on a weekly basis for longer stays. All you will need is your own clothing, food and beach towels.

A dual-view digital satellite TV (DSTV) is provided. TV sets are located in the loft bedroom and lounge. The unit has a telephone for internet connectivity or calls. The telephone operates with Telecards which are available from Teleshops and various vendors. Cellular telephone coverage is assured.
