Ideally situated as a point of departure and return, for trips to the Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route. Thokozani Lodge - your point of departure and return for trips to the Kruger National Park, the Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window, Pilgrim's Rest as well as many other marvellous scenic and cultural attractions. • Situated 6 kilometres outside White River in lush surroundings on the doorstep to the Kruger National Park and the Panorama Route • 10 minutes to the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport • 25 minutes to the Kruger National Park (Numbi Gate) • 20 kilometres to Nelspruit • To Mozambique and Swaziland less than 1,5 hours drive Thokozani Lodge is a small country style Guest House that offers you a pleasant, private and family atmosphere. You can relax or explore the magnificent surroundings, with all of its attractions, on daytrips. The charming thatched houses are nestled in a wonderful subtropical garden with huge trees and palms, which is a paradise for a wide variety of birds (we spotted over 90 species). The big swimming pool cools you down and makes your swim enjoyable. Deck chairs and a thatched sun shelter are provided for your convenience. Feel free to walk around the farm. You can walk down to the banks of the White River and enjoy the African nature. Watch the birds, lizards, mongoose, rock and water monitors or simply lie on the rocks and day dream. For the more energetic, there is horse riding, golf, tennis, squash and other activities nearby. When you have had enough of the sun or it rains – no problem! Come to the house, sit under the sheltered veranda or enjoy the lounge. Here you can read, listen to music or just relax. Help yourself to free coffee or tea. There is also a selection of games and a billiard room. Enjoy the sunset, sip a drink on the terrace and watch bats hunting in the dusk. At night you can sit around the fireplace under a million stars. Listen to the sound of the Bush Crickets or the call of the Wood Owl. On request we will serve you with a delicious breakfast and dinner (German style if you like). ACCOMMODATION• Double rooms • Rooms with single beds • Four-sleeper rooms with a double and bunk bed • Cottage from 2 to 4 people All rooms and cottages are en-suite and furnished with handmade wooden furniture in rustic style. Bedding and Towels are provided. For a safe and peaceful night all beds are equipped with mosquito nets. Each room has a separate entrance and beautiful view of the garden. DIRECTIONS: Concise directions to Thokozani Lodge • Follow N4 from Johannesburg or Maputo to Nelspruit. • As you come to Nelspruit, turn onto the R 40 towards White River. • Travel on R 40 to White River (approx 20 km). In White River go straight on Chief Mgiyeni Khumalo Drive through town and follow R538 to Plaston / Karino for approx 4,5 km. • After the second railway crossing, take the first turn off to your right (sign "Jatinga"). • Follow the gravel road for approx 1km. Thokozani Lodge is the first property on the right hand side (sign "Thokozani"). Kurze Wegbeschreibung, wie Sie zu uns kommen In Nelspruit, nehmen Sie den Abzweig (R40) nach White River. Fahren Sie auf der R40 bis White River. In White River bleiben Sie auf der Hauptstraße (Chief Mgiyeni Khumalo Drive). Am Ortsausgang (auf der rechten Seite befindet sich eine Moschee) folgen Sie der R 538 in Richtung Plaston / Karino R538. Dieser Straße folgen Sie etwa 4,5 km. Nachdem zweiten Bahnübergang, nehmen Sie den ersten Abzweig rechts (Zeichen „Jatinga“).
