With its African ambience, Longcrested Eagle Country Lodge is the perfect base from which to experience the pride of South Africa’s conservation efforts, the Kruger National Park, which is a short and easy drive away.

This luxurious family-run retreat is a haven of peace and tranquillity, where only the wildlife disturbs the silence especially the abundant bird life, which includes the distinctive Longcrested Eagle and spectacular purple crested loerie.

Longcrested Eagle Country Lodge is situated between Sabie and Hazyview in the picturesque Mpumalanga Province and is 420km east of Johannesburg.

ACCOMMODATION

The accommodation is luxurious. The five 2-bedroom chalets, three 1-bedroom chalets, four double lodge rooms with en-suite bathrooms and honeymoon suite has been lovingly decorated to create five star elegance. The en-suite rooms have satellite television, mini bar and telephone and mini lounge.

The fully self-catering chalets each have been equipped with telephone, satellite television, braai area, fully equipped kitchen and all the necessary necessities.

DINING

Longcrested Eagle Country Lodge features an African themed restaurant with a selection of South Africa’s finest wines.

FACILITIES

Relax at the swimming pool with its sundeck whilst overlooking the valley of the Sabaan River. There is also a squash court for the more energetic. Our library boasts a wonderful selection of books on Africa and its wildlife.

CONFERENCES

The well-appointed business conference room is designed for the use of senior executives and embassy staff. The air-conditioned conference room has television, audio video, projector screen, flip chart, copier and fax machine and seats up to 22 delegates.
