Auldstone has secure parking, with an electric gate. Day-fishing venues are less than 5 minutes away, and most activities are within easy reach by car. Horseriding, clay pigeon shooting and archery can be arranged; hot air ballooning - approximately 15km out of town, weather permitting. There is a whisky bar on the premises, open every day, and Friday and Saturday early evenings. ACCOMMODATIONAuldstone House is situated on the main road in the heart of Dullstroom, and consists of 5 suites. All suites have views of rolling green hills to the east, and are carpeted, featuring either a fireplace or under-floor heating. For those cold winter nights, heaters, extra blankets and electric blankets are supplied in each suite. Bed linen, towels, soap and shampoo are provided. Tea / coffee making facilities are supplied, as well as tea, coffee and creamer. Suite 1 (Room only) Queen size bed, with bathroom en-suite (bath only) and a fireplace. Suite 2 (Room only) Double or twin configuration with bathroom en-suite (bath and shower) and a fireplace. Suite 3 (Self Catering) Queen size bed, with under-floor heating and bathroom en suite (bath only) with bar heater. A cosy lounge with fireplace and under-floor heating opens onto a small balcony with views. Well equipped kitchen with under-tile heating, electric stove, microwave, fridge / freezer, and an open plan dining area for 4. An inter-leading door to suite 4 makes the two suites an ideal family unit. Suite 4 (Room only) One double bed and one single, with bathroom en-suite (shower only) and under-floor heating. May be booked alone, or as a family unit with suite 3. Suite 5 (Self Catering) Double or twin configuration with bathroom en-suite (bath only) and a small, open-plan, well-appointed kitchen, featuring a small stove, microwave, and fridge / freezer. Under-floor heating in bedroom and kitchen. Please noteNo smoking in rooms. Smoking is only permitted on balconies and in the courtyard. |

DIRECTIONS: From Johannesburg Take the N12 highway to Witbank. (Just before Witbank it connects with the N4 highway. Travel on this highway to Belfast, take the Belfast exit, and at the fourth stop sign (at Toyota garage) turn right to Dullstroom/Lydenburg. Travel on the R540 for 35 km into Dullstroom. Continue over the 4-way stop for approximately 300m – Auldstone House is on the left. From Lydenburg Follow the R540 towards Dullstroom - approx 56km. As you enter the village, pass the first stop street (with the Critchley Common on your left). Continue along the main road, passing the Old Transvaal Inn and The Poacher on the left hand side. Auldstone House on the right hand side, about 300m after The Poacher. Please note: Weather conditions in Dullstroom are prone to extreme changes and that the weather can be unpredictable.
