Böhms Zeederberg Country House is a small owner run Guest House situated between Hazyview and Sabie near the Kruger National Park in Mpumalanga, South Africa in a Malaria Free Area. Mrs Böhm and her German speaking family have been the hosts for the past 27 years, achieving a 4-Star Grading which was recently awarded by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa. The Country House is situated on a hilltop overlooking the Sabie River Valley over 60 hectares of indigenous bush inhabited by monkeys, small mammals, Bushbuck and varied Birdlife. Böhms Zeederberg Country House, run by it's German-speaking owners, provides an ideal setting for complete relaxation in the country, only 4½ hours drive from Johannesburg. Relax and unwind next to the sparkling pool or in the sauna and jacuzzi. The energetic can take an invigorating walk in the heart of nature filled with varied birdlife, guaranteed to work up an appetite for the excellent cuisine offered by Marlene Böhm. ACCOMMODATION:Ten comfortably equipped chalets are set in lush subtropical gardens surrounding the swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi. The individually decorated Double or Twin Bedded Rooms all have a Bath/Shower en-suite and a private veranda with majestic views over the valley and are equipped with a Mini Bar Fridge, Telephone, Coffee and Tea making facilities, Heater, Air-conditioning or Fan and a Hairdryer. Four chalets can accommodate a third person sharing, making it ideal to accommodate small tour groups up to 24 persons. (Rooms and Special Rates for Drivers and Guides are also available). DINING:An English- and Continental Breakfast Buffet is served from 8h00 - 9h30, and a Picnic Basket is packed for the early birds who wish to depart early. After sipping a sundowner on the terrace, a Dinner a la Carte is served in the Timber beamed Dining Room by candlelight. Local fare like Trout, Sabie Mushrooms and Ostrich are House Specialities and are served with fresh Herbs and vegetables from the garden. An excellent selection of South African wines compliments the menu. ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONS:Böhms Zeederberg Country House is a perfect base from which to explore the area which is rich in natural beauty. Visit quaint Pilgrim's Rest, a living museum dedicated to the frenzy of the gold rush days. The Panorama Route to Blyde River Canyon offers breathtaking views, and the sheer drops of the escarpment creates magnificent waterfalls in verdant vegetation. Game is in abundance in the nearby Kruger National Park (only 20 minutes away) and in addition dawn and night safaris can be arranged, as well as balloon safaris, river rafting and horse riding. Nearby attractions within 100km: Kruger National Park, Sabie Sand Game Reserve, Timbavati Game Reserve, Blyde River Canyon, Pilgrim's Rest, Waterfalls.
