Umzumbe is located on the KwaZulu Natal South Coast, approximately 90km south of Durban, between Hibberdene and Port Shepstone. It is known as the best kept secret of the Hibiscus coast. Directly on the beach is Summerplace, which consists of 4 luxury self catering cottages. ACCOMMODATIONLookout Cottage: “Lookout” cottage can sleep 12 guests for example 6 adults and 6 children. It has three bathrooms, dining room, lounge, kitchen, scullery and its own private deck and gate onto the beach. Honeymoon Cottage Then there is “Honeymoon” cottage which sleeps 4 guests, either 2 couples or a family. It has a modern bathroom, lovely kitchen with modern fittings and a big lounge area. Huge sliding doors makes your accessibility to the beach even easier. Big Brother Cottage “Big Brother” cottage is not what the name implies. It should be little brother as it sleeps 2 adults comfortably and has a sleeper couch. It is ultra modern with the same accessibility to the beach and view as the other units. Seaview Cottage “Seaview” is Summerplace’s pride and joy. It easily sleeps 4 adults and 4 kids. It has beautiful finishes with a huge lounge and dining room. The sliding doors with the wooden decks gives you the best view of the Umzumbe beach. FACILITIES AND SERVICEThere is good security and ample parking. Staff for your convenience can be arranged, but all other amenities are located on the property. All cottages have air conditioning There are 3 Jacuzzis on the premises. ATTRACTIONS AND ACTIVITIESThere are several golf courses in the area and for those who love a beach and family holiday, this is ideal. The beach is protected by shark nets and there are lifeguards on duty throughout the year. The sea pool is a huge favourite with the younger generation. ACCREDITATIONS
